Well it has come to light recently that Deviant Art has stated that its now ok to submit traced, or painted over artwork as your own. news.deviantart.com/article/70… I really don't care about what DA is saying about tracing being art, there are plenty of schmucks out there who will claim that anything is art to make a buck. Well now apparently its Ok for people to use your art without your permission as long as they trace it, or add some paint to it to make a profit off of your original idea and hard work! How does this seem legal? Well I for one STRONGLY disagree with this heinousness! So I have taken all my prints off of deviant art like many other artists in the DA community, and will not be one to endorse them as long as they are ok with this type of copyright infringement. I still plan on continuing to use deviant art, because it is a great site and community. I just disagree with their new "tracing is art" policy.

My 'hidden talent' reavealed!!! (ooohhhh
Yeah for those of you who don't know me personally don't know that I do metal work and I have been doing it for about 5 or 6 years now. So the main reason for not posting is I'm lazy and I don't really want to take the time to photograph everything I make, and also when I first started I didn't think people would actually want to buy my stuff. However I was happily proved wrong. :D so I haven't posted everything yet but I'm tired and I want to go to bed cause I has to work tomorrow :( but keep checking back because I'll be posting new jewelry every chance I get :D YAY!

I don't mean to be a downer, but I just have to vent...
I always feel like I come out playing second fiddle. If I get my hopes up for something that I really want to do it doesn't end up working out most often for me. And today I just got a double dose of let down again after putting a lot of time and effort into it someone else gets what I have worked really hard for when they have done not a thing to deserve it. :( I know that's how life is sometimes but, it can get to be really frustrating.

My other friend :iconlussst: made this beautiful painting and sold it to someone who destroyed it out of anger at her when she did a second painting for him and he said it was too much to pay for a "no name artist". Its so unfortunate and truly sad. :( please don't let the same happen to you.
